Mark Krass

Welcome to my site! I'm currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice. Before then, I was Attorney-Adviser in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice, and received my Ph.D. (Political Science, 2025) and my J.D. (2022) from Stanford, where my principal advisor was Dan Ho. I am also a nonresident affiliate of the Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab.

My research interests include administrative law, executive power, AI, and election law. More thematically, I care about the separation of powers, representation in government and quality in administration and adjudication.
